Accused Kalamazoo shooter Jason Dalton faced a judge to be arraigned on more than a dozen charges including murder and attempted murder.

Hours later ABC News learned Dalton visited a gun shop, buying a tactical jacket, just hours before the shooting spree began.

Six people are dead and two people are fighting for their lives after the shootings in Kalamazoo Saturday night.

Police believe 45-year-old Dalton is responsible for the violence.

Dalton has been charged with six counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder among other charges. So far, investigators are saying they can't figure out what motivated such a seemingly normal guy to suddenly become so violent.

According to authorities, Dalton admitted to the murders.

We're told Dalton is from Kalamazoo, he has no criminal history, and passed the background check to be a cab driver with Uber.

He has a house, two kids, and a wife. By all accounts, Dalton is a well-liked neighbor and those who know him say they just can't believe he would do anything like this.
