ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. (WXYZ) — A new park with a ropes course and zip line will open this month on the campus of Oakland University in Rochester Hills. TreeRunner Adventure Park is expected to open on June 22, with a soft opening planned for this weekend.
The park is described as a "premier aerial adventure park" with more than 60 obstacles and zip lines, three difficulty levels and five different trails.
The company was founded in Michigan and has three other parks, two of which are in Michigan and one in North Carolina.
According to the company, the park is for anyone ages 4 and up, and the self-guided courses don't require previous climbing experience.
After you get a briefing and your safety harness, you select a course at your comfort level and proceed to move through the bridges or elements from tree platform to tree platform. When you complete your course, you are able to go back to the starting platform and choose a new one.
Reservations are required, and you can book them online at treerunnerou.com. Prices are $48 for anyone 12 and up, $43 for ages 10-11 and $38 for 7-9. The price includes a four-hour experience which includes check-in, safety briefing and three hours of climbing.
