An alleged car thief is in jail Friday morning after a chase that started in Warren and ended in a crash on Detroit's east side.
Warren PD says the chase started around 1 a.m. when officers tried to stop a stolen car. Police followed the car on on Schoenherr into Detroit where the driver crashed at Schoenherr and Collingham.
Police say the suspect suffered minor injuries in the crash.
