(WXYZ) — Wednesday night, 7 Action News presented a virtual town hall as part of America in Crisis called "A Conversation on Race Relations in Detroit."

The town hall was hosted by 7 Action News anchors Carolyn Clifford and Glenda Lewis. With the killing of George Floyd prompting protests on racial injustice throughout the nation, we wanted to get city leaders and other city residents together to talk about race relations in Detroit.

Those who participated in the town hall included:

Eric Williams, an attorney for the Detroit Justice Center
Darienne Hudson, the CEO of United Way Southeastern Michigan
Dr. Nikolia Vitti, superintendent of the Detroit Public Schools Community District
Todd Bettison, Detroit Police Deputy Chief
Marc D'Andre, Podcaster
Chuck Stokes, WXYZ Editorial Director
