It's Thursday!

If you don't have any weekend plans just yet, it's okay. We'll help you with what's going on Around Town.

"It's our signature event in the city," said Allen Park Mayor William Matakas.

It's time for the 37th Annual Allen Park Street Fair

"Only 28,000 people live here but we get 40,000 to 50,000 people to attend on this coming Friday and Saturday,” Matakas said.

I remember checking it out a couple of years ago. The fair is known for its food, music and arts and crafts. Vendors start applying in December and they don't accept re-sellers, only artists and crafters.

The fair runs Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

“Meeting old friends because we’ve been here so long and it’s not so crowded that you can’t get around, find people, and do things,” Matakas said.

On Thursday, the World's Longest Garage Sale takes place from Addison Michigan all the way to Alabama. The event happens all weekend long.

Also happening this weekend, the World's Biggest Bounce House comes to Fraser.

The bounce house is 40 times the average bounce house and will be at Steffens Park on Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9:15 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.

Tickets depend on age and vary from $10 to $25.

On Friday, Dearborn Homecoming Festival for "Cruisin' Dearborn" kicks off with 125 historic cars and 50 historic motorcycles cruising the streets.

And Saturday, help clean up Detroit with ARISE Detroit! Neighborhoods Day starting around 7:30 a.m. at more than 250 locations across the city.

Or get dirty at Muckfest at Willow Metro Park in New Boston. The site opens at 7:30 a.m. with more than 2,000 participants.

And happening this weekend is the Belle Isle Art Fair, which is on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
