(WXYZ) — If you are trying to save up money for holiday shopping, but you still want to go out on the weekend, there is a free event to take your family to.
“This is the memory making place,” said Danielle Jackson of the Belle Isle Conservancy.
It is the perfect time to check out the Holiday Stroll on Friday night from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
“Aquarium, the Belle Isle Nature Center, the Belle Isle Boat House, the Dossin Great Lakes Museum will host an array of activities.”
It’s a free event that attracts hundreds of families.
“Visit Santa and Mrs. Claus and write him letters and do crafts. There is marshmallow roasting. There are some choir performances," Jackson said. “A lot of times you don’t get a chance to explore a lot of the facilities after dark so there is a little bit of a different feel.”
