(WXYZ) — Arctic air is pouring back into the region and will hold on through the weekend.
Temperatures will hover in the teens Friday with wind chills below zero. There will be little change to the bitter cold over the weekend.
Our next concern will be a snow storm arriving next Monday and Tuesday that will bring us widespread accumulating snow.
This storm will also drag in the coldest air we've seen in years! Temperatures will struggle to climb into the double digits with brutal wind chills as cold as -20° to -30°. Because of all the snow and extreme cold, watch for school closings next week!
