Beaumont Hospital welcomed the first baby of 2016 just three minutes after midnight early Friday morning.
According to Beaumont, Mason Dallas Stewart was born on 12:03 a.m. at the Karmanos Birth Center at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. His parents are Charisma Grandberry and David Stewart of Romulus.
Mason was born weighing 7-pounds-7-ounces and both he and his mother are doing fine.
