(WXYZ) — The COVID-19 outbreak forced the cancellation of one of the biggest days of the year for craft beer drinkers – Oberon Day.
Bell's Brewery announced last week that it told distributors, bars and shops to begin selling Oberon as soon as they got it, instead of waiting until midnight on March 23.
Since the cancellation, Bell's is hosting a virtual Oberon toast at 6 on Monday night. You can get a reminder here.
Bell's also has some tips for celebrating virtual Oberon Day.
- Oberon: or any drink that makes you happy.
- Favorite glass
- Orange, any kind of citrus, heck, any garnish.
- Bottle opener
- Food delivered from your favorite local establishment
- Snacks
- Music - we’ve got just the Playlist (Apple Music | Spotify)

"Look, you don’t need anything special to celebrate Oberon Day during these times, not even Oberon. Take a minute and enjoy the good things to come," the company said.
