(WXYZ) — Bell's Brewery has been named among the best breweries in America for the past few years, and its Two Hearted Ale has been named the best beer in America for the third year in a row.
Now, an article from Thrillist puts Bell's among the "13 Essential American Breweries of 2019."
The article said that Bell's has stayed essential in Michigan and America for decades, and it does that "by never slowing down.
The brewery could simply keep aforementioned icons (Oberon, Two Hearted, Amber Ale) and remained one of the best breweries in the country. Instead, they keep innovating."
It goes on to talk about Bell's releasing a Double Two Hearted Ale, with the launch of Light Hearted Ale on the horizon next year, plus the release this year of the Pooltime Ale joining Oberon as a summer beer.
"While a trip to the brewery is a must, Bell's has in recent years been expanding distribution, now reaching 40 states, presumably in an effort to get Michigan expats to shut the hell up about not being able to get their fix," the article reads." Even with all that, Bell's continues to push its own boundaries. It was an early adopter, but it's still willing and extremely able to learn new tricks."
