The record daily snowfall of 8.5" was set at Detroit Metro Airport yesterday, which breaks the old record of 4.1" back in 1984. The 8.5"snow total also breaks the November daily snowfall record (snowfall within a 24 hour period) the previous record was 6.2" set back on November 15, 1925.
The storm total of 9.2" from November 11th - 12th, ranks as the biggest November snow storm ever in Detroit - breaking the old record of 9", set back on November 15-16, 1932.
