Convicted killer Bob Bashara is continuing his court battle for a new trial in the murder of his wife, Jane.
In court today, a para-legal and inmate Carlo Bartinelli testified he typed up an affidavit for Joe Gentz while they were both in the Macomb County Correctional Facility.
Gentz is recanting his testimony that he killed Jane Bashara in January of 2012 after being paid and threatened by Bob Bashara.
In that affidavit, Gentz now claims he was coerced by Grosse Pointe Park police to frame Bob Bashara.
Bob Bashara maintains he had nothing to do with his wife's murder.
Gentz and Bashara will come face to face in court next Tuesday. That's when Judge Vonda Evans said she will continue the hearing.
During his trial, it was revealed Bob Bashara carried on a secret life with mistresses in a so-called BDSM lifestyle. One of the women testified he promised to leave his wife for her.
