Convicted killer Bob Bashara appeared in court Tuesday to continue his fight for a new trial.
Bashara was found guilty of murder last year in the death of his wife, Jane.
His former handyman, Joe Gentz, also appeared in court, but did not testify as was expected.
Gentz claimed in the past that the Grosse Pointe Park businessman put him up to the murder. Now, Gentz claims he acted alone.
The admission he acted alone is outlined in a affidavit filed from inside the prison.
Bashara has long insisted he had nothing to do with his wife's death.
He will be back in court April 21 at 9 a.m.
