(WXYZ) — Bob Seger embarked on what he said would be his final tour, the "Roll Me Away Tour," last November in Grand Rapids, and on Thursday, the Detroit rock legend announced what he said would be his "final North American Shows" on the tour.
Those shows will take place in New York, Boston, Philadelphia and Toronto, Seger said, with tickets going on sale Saturday, Sept. 14.
For people looking to see Seger one last time in North America, your closest options would be in Indianapolis on Oct. 5, Pittsburgh on Oct. 17, Chicago on Oct. 19 and Toronto on Oct. 26.
Seger, 74, didn't say that these would be his last tour dates though, as he called them the final North American shows, which does leave the door open for shows in other parts of the world.
Earlier this summer, Seger played several shows at DTE Energy Music Theatre, bringing his total shows at the venue to 33. Before his stretch of concerts started, 313 Presents renamed the theatre's address in honor of Seger. It's new address is 33 Bob Seger Dr.
Seger spoke briefly after the announcement, thanking the fans, Palace Sports and Entertainment, and his radio partners for the decades of support.
"It's overwhelming. I'm really happy about this. A great honor and thank you so much," Seger said.
