(WXYZ) — Police have recovered the body of a missing 6-year-old who disappeared while boating with his father in South Rockwood last month.
According to police, the body of 6-year-old Jaxon Oaks was found on Friday. Officers say his body was found in the Huron River by a relative who was continuing the search.
Members of the Michigan DNR assisted with the recovery.
On April 13, police recovered the body of his father, 29-year-old Justin Oaks.
They launched their boat from the Downriver Marina at approximately 10:30 a.m. on March 29. The last contact with Juston was at 12:35 p.m. via cell phone.
