(WXYZ) — The Brighton School District stepped up this week to help out Grosse Pointe students affected by the loss of two boys in a house fire on Monday.
Logan Connoly, 9, and 11-year-old Briggs Connolly died in a house fire on Monday morning. Officials say the two boys were students at Richard Elementary.

Brighton schools, which is the first district to own 12 social emotional learning dogs, sent one of the dogs to the school.
Scout showed up to Richard Elementary to help the 4th and 5th graders cope with the loss of Logan and Briggs.
School officials say Scout spent the day relaxing with the kids and allowed them, for a moment, to take their worries away.
