It's an event that continues to be a very important tradition here at Broadcast House. Brightest and Best, which was held on the station grounds on Saturday, recognizes the academic achievements of local graduating high school seniors.

For more than three decades, WXYZ has welcomed graduates and their families. About 200 students and their guests came for a morning of celebration. Colorful caps and gowns flooded the lawn outside of the station.
Of course, every year, we couldn’t let the brightest get away without a test -- and that’s where our Twitter Scavenger Hunt came into play.
The list required them to run around the grounds, mingle with WXYZ reporters and anchors, and snap photos. They took over social media with their adventures and you can get a recap by checking out the hashtag #BrightestAndBest on Twitter.
