Car split in half after hitting telephone pole in Detroit double fatal crash

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are investigating a double fatal crash that left a vehicle split in half Saturday morning.

Around 5:50 a.m., police say a late model gray Dodge Charger was speeding southbound on Hubbell at Schoolcraft when the car lost control and slammed into a telephone pole. The impact caused the vehicle to split in half.

The two male passengers believed to be in their 30's were ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene.
