Carjacker wanted after holding mother, three children at gunpoint in Detroit

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit Police need help finding a man wanted in connection to a carjacking on the city's west side.

On May 10 around 11:05 p.m., a 28-year-old woman was inside her vehicle on the 19500 block of Plymouth, when the suspect approached and demanded she and her three children get out of the car.

The female victim complied as the suspect held the family at gunpoint.

He sped off east on Plymouth Road in the woman's car. Police later recovered the stolen vehicle in the area of Joy Road and Oakman. The suspect was gone.

Police say the man should be considered armed and dangerous.
