(WXYZ) — The first of four Chick-fil-A restaurants coming to metro Detroit will open on Thursday. The location in Allen Park will open on Jan. 9.
Located at 3355 Fairline Dr., the restaurant is owned by Brad Lunsford, who graded from Gibraltar Carlson High School and served as the director of executive football operations at Michigan State.
They are celebrating with the First 100 Red Carpet Rollout. The registration will begin at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8 and conclude at 8 p.m. More information on the Facebook page here.
Last year, the restaurant chain announced there will be four restaurants opening in metro Detroit this year. Others include Novi, Northville and Shelby Township.
It's expected that the openings will bring 400 jobs to metro Detroit.
The buildings will include double drive-thru lanes, indoor play areas for children and free Wi-Fi.
The company said each location will be locally owned by an individual operator who will oversee day-to-day activities of the business.
