CLAWSON, Mich. (WXYZ) — The owner of a dance studio in Clawson is facing criminal sexual conduct charges.
According to police, Christopher Keen, 59, of Birmingham, allegedly sexually assaulted one of his students over a two-year period. Police say the victim was between the ages of 13 and 16 years old at the time of the assaults.
The victim was a student at the Kaleidoscope Studio for Performing Arts in Clawson, which offers classes in dance and other forms of the performing arts.
Police say the abuse allegedly took place at the studio and home of the studio owner in Birmingham during 2013 and 2014.
The Clawson Police Department said there are two other possible victims. Police feel that there are other victims due to the fact that Keen allegedly used his authoritative position to take advantage of his students, advising them not to tell anybody because his life would be over and telling them he loved them.
Keen was charged with criminal sexual conduct, first-degree, sexual penetration, a life felony, and criminal sexual conduct, sexual contact, a 15-year felony.
Anyone with any additional information is asked to come forward and call Det. Kellie Bauss at 248-655-4450.
