Convicted killer Bob Bashara could be seen in court meeting former Detroit City Council President Pro Tem Monica Conyers in court during Bashara's motion for a new trial.

Bob Bashara is serving life in prison for the murder of his wife Jane. Conyers served 27 months in Federal Prison after pleading guilty to taking bribes while on the City Council.

Conyers is working as a legal assistant to Attorney John Holler, the court appointed attorney for Joe Gentz who pleaded guilty to killing Jane Bashara and said he was threatened and paid by Bashara.

Gentz has since changed his story to say Grosse Pointe Park Police coerced him to frame Bob Bashara.

Conyers who is a Law School graduate tells 7 Investigator Jim Kiertzner that she took the Bar Exam in another state and is waiting to find out if she can get a law license in Michigan.

She is also working in a Wayne County agency providing legal assistance to homeless and single mothers.
