MACOMB COUNTY (WXYZ) — A total of six inmates at Macomb County Jail have tested positive for the coronavirus, according to officials at the jail.
The jail has a max capacity of 1,200, and the number of current inmates wasn't immediately available.
According to a public information officer with the sheriff's department, the prisoners have all been given masks, soap, and hand sanitizer to lower the chance of spreading the virus. Prisoners who say they feel sick are also being tested.
