ROYAL OAK, Mich. (WXYZ) — The annual Arts, Beats & Eats summer festival in Royal Oak has been canceled for 2020 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Organizers say "while the festival has been canceled, virtual and small-scale live activation will take its place to spread a little bit of art, music, food and health, including a major effort to support the local music industry."

There will also be limited capacity drive-in concerts during Labor Day Weekend.

All events have been constructed in collaboration with the Oakland County Health Department and meet current State of Michigan event guidelines and safety protocols, according to event organizers.
