CENTER LINE, Mich. (WXYZ) — A worker at Binson's Medical Equipment and Supplies in Center Line has tested positive for COVID-19 (coronavirus), the company said Wednesday.
The Binson's management team was made aware of the health concern on Tuesday, March 17, and has since temporarily closed the Binson's store at 26834 Lawrence.
The location has been closed to everyone including employees so there can be an extensive cleaning of the facility.
"Binson’s takes the health and safety of its employees and customers very seriously," the company said in a statement. "We recognize that this emerging crisis is global in scale and we are committed to doing all we can to prevent the spread while providing essential services to those who are in need."
The company says that employees at that location are asked to stay home until further notice. All customers who have been to the Binson's Center Line location are asked by the company to closely monitor themselves for symptoms according to the CDC guidelines.
Binson's locations in Sterling Heights, Royal Oak and Troy will remain open.
