Detroit police issued 736 citations, shut down 24 parties to date while enforcing stay-at-home order

DETROIT (WXYZ) — The Detroit Police Department has checked more 10,000 locations to ensure compliance with Governor Gretchen Whitmer's Stay Home, Stay Safe executive order.

As of April 16, 736 citations have been given, 27 businesses have been closed and 24 parties have been shut down.

Police thanked the community for being the "eyes and the ears."
