EMU students will be required to undergo COVID-19 testing before moving into residence halls

(WXYZ) — Eastern Michigan University students living on campus in the fall will be required to undergo COVID-19 testing before arriving on campus.

Students will be provided an at-home saliva-based test to complete before returning to campus.

Students with a completed and negative test will be allowed to check in to their residence hall at their scheduled check-in time and date. Those who test positive or those do who do not complete their test will not be allowed to check in and must follow safety protocols. Affected students will be contacted by the dean of students.

Residence hall move-in begins Thursday, Aug. 27; Classes begin Monday, Aug. 31.
