(WXYZ) — There are a total of 430,780 new coronavirus cases and 10,662 deaths in Michigan, the state reported Saturday.
That's up 4,486 cases and 206 deaths from the day before. According to state health officials, the number of deaths announced Saturday includes 176 deaths identified during a Vital Records review.

The state surpassed 400,000 total cases of COVID-19 on Monday, just less than nine months after the first cases were confirmed on March 10.
The 400,000 case mark came on the same day that Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced the COVID-19 restrictions would be extended for 12 more days until Dec. 20.
As of Friday, Dec. 11, 236,369 people have recovered from the virus in Michigan.
