State of Michigan reports 2,031 cases of COVID-19 and 40 deaths on Wednesday

(WXYZ) — The State of Michigan confirmed another 2,031 cases of COVID-19 and 40 deaths on Wednesday.

That brings the total number of confirmed cases to 542,146 The number of deaths has climbed to 13,905.

The figures come as Johns Hopkins University reported earlier this week that total deaths for COVID-19 in the United States have now surpassed 400,000.
