(WXYZ) — Malls in metro Detroit are closing in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

Somerset Collection announced Wednesday that it will close until at least March 27.

Both Twelve Oaks Mall and Great Lakes Crossing are closing at the end of the day on March 19 through at least March 29.

The mall says the decision to close comes as many of their retail partners have closed worldwide.

Beginning March 17, the Mall at Partridge Creek will reduce its hours. It will be open Monday through Saturday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
