DETROIT (WXYZ) — Here are the incidents Detroit police are investigating Friday and overnight Saturday:
Non-fatal shooting on Winthrop
A 40-year-old victim was allegedly walking westbound on W. Chicago when people in a black Dodge Durango began firing shots at the victim.
According to police, the shooting happened in the 9100 block of Winthrop around 4:30 a.m. Saturday.
It was when the victim arrived home that he realized a bullet struck him in the leg, police say.
Police found no scene at the location. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and listed in stable condition.
No word on possible suspects.
Critical stabbing on Petoskey
A 43-year-old victim is in critical condition after being stabbed multiple times in the area of Petoskey and Kay in Detroit.
The stabbing happened around 3:10 a.m. Saturday, police say.
Right now, police say the hospitalized victim described the suspect as a man with locs. Officers have not yet identified or apprehended the suspect.
Dead on scene incident on Mitchell
A 56-year-old man suddenly collapsed on his neighbor's porch in the 20000 block of Mitchell in Detroit.
The incident happened around 11:23 on Friday, according to a release from Detroit police.
Medics arrived and pronounced the man dead on scene.
Police say medical examiners will determine the cause of death.
