Just a day after announcing that his company, JACK Entertainment, would be selling Greektown Casino, Dan Gilbert and Rock Holdings announced it has expanded its portfolio by acquiring Dictionary.com and Thesaurus.com.

The Oakland, Calif.-based companies are the preeminent online resource and information websites, with about 540 million pageviews per day.
In a perfectly worded press release, Gilbert said, "From the genesis, we admit to invariable conjecture in the unmitigated competency of online mechanization to ameliorate the total sum of completed undertakings throughout our mortal existence. Cognition and discourse are conjointly associated."
The two companies also went back-and-forth on Twitter.
