Debate over Ann Arbor deer cull continues

The fierce debate over the killing of deer in Ann Arbor to reduce the population continues.

At a meeting last night, people spoke out against the deer cull.

Opponents have filed a lawsuit to try and stop the killing of deer in city parks over the next few months.

This -- despite the fact that sharp shooters were given the green light yesterday afternoon to give to reduce the deer population.

Ann Arbor wants to reduce the number of deer roaming around parks. City council temporarily lifted an ordinance that restricts firearms in parks. But the group that filed the lawsuit claims that move is illegal.

All together, we're talking about to 100 deer over the next few months. But because of the lawsuit, a judge could put a stop to all of it later this week.
