DETROIT (WXYZ) — Dozens of law enforcement descended on a barbershop on Detroit's west side. A full-blown search ensued for multiple suspects of an armed robbery at Z's Barber Shop on McGraw Avenue at Elmer Street.

Michigan State Police were running down alleys, and combing up and down the area with guns drawn. They went door-to-door to try and find the people who came in and robbed the barbershop.

"You see a couple of cops come," said Ebdol Hzen, who works at Eden Auto Service nearby. "After that, cops keep coming back, and keep coming back – a lot of cars coming."

A full force responce occurred Wednesday on McGraw at Z's Barber Shop, after multiple people stormed in with guns and robbed the place.

With support from the air, and a tracking dog on the ground, Detroit and Michigan State police searched for hours for the suspects down streets and alleys.

The barber shop is staying open, and nearby businesses say this type of thing isn't new to the neighborhood.

"Two weeks and a half ago, we had the same thing (happen)," Hzen said. "We had somebody stick us up. (But) don't get me wrong, there's a lot of good people around here that want to make (a) good life. Just always you are going to find those kind of bad people come to the neighborhood. They make it worse for everybody though."

Hzen added that he's praying that police can find the suspects so that the neighborhood can feel safer.

Police say no one was injured during the robber. If you have information on this case, contact Detroit police or the Michigan State Police Department.
