(WXYZ) — The annual Ford Fireworks in downtown Detroit have been moved to August and will be a celebration of frontline workers and Detroiters amid the COVID-19 crisis.
The event will be a TV-only broadcast on Monday, Aug. 31 and will feature Detroiter stories.
The Parade Company CEO Tony Michaels said there will be no congregating of people, and the location of the fireworks has not been given out.
"Detroit will see a show they've never seen before. It will be the best fireworks show this country has ever seen," Michaels said.
