The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office has charged a Detroit man in connection to homicide of his estranged wife.

Officers say it is alleged that 30-year-old Gregory McQueen murdered his wife, 28-year-old Alisha McQueen.

Alisha McQueen was reported missing back in March. Alisha and Gregory were living separately at the time, police say.

On Aug. 25, police and evidence technicians were dispatched to Mill Street in Ecorse where a citizen discovered what appeared to be human bones and clothing.

On Sep. 7, police discovered large pieces of cement embedded with human remains. Weeks later, an investigation revealed the bones matched Alisha McQueen's DNA.

McQueen was charged with open murder and is due back in court for arraignment on Oct. 8.
