Bad news for all of the single people in Detroit, a new study from WalletHub found that the Motor City is one of the worst cities in the country for singles.
According to the study, Detroit ranks 140th out of 182 cities in the country for single people. Breaking down the city's ranking, we rank 147th in "Economics rank," 87th in "Fun & Recreation Rank" and 111th in "Dating Opportunities rank."
Grand Rapids ranks as one of the best, coming in at No. 39.
The study also found that despite ranking so low, Detroit has the highest percentage of single people and also ranks third for lowest average beer & wine price. Also, the city has some of the fewest online dating opportunities.
Atlanta comes in as the best city for singles, followed by Denver, San Francisco, Portland and Los Angeles.
