Detroit police looking to identify suspects, person of interest in non-fatal shooting at coney island

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are asking for the public's help in locating two men and a woman in connection to a non-fatal shooting that occurred overnight Wednesday at Nicky D's Coney Island on the city's west side.

The shooting happened around 2 a.m. in the 15400 block of W. Seven Mile Road. The victim, a 40-year-old man, was assaulted and shot inside the coney island as he waited for his food.

Police say the two male suspects went into the location and attempted to place an order. The suspects then began arguing with other customers inside, which resulted in the suspects assaulting the victim and one of the suspects shooting the victim.

The two suspects then fled in a dark color Ford F-150, with a cab and temporary sticker.

Police say that before the shooting the suspects were seen with a female person of interest, who also fled in their vehicle.

Suspect one is described as a black man who was wearing a light color hat, white short-sleeve shirt, tan color pants, white shoes and was armed with a handgun.

Suspect two is described as a black man who was wearing a dark color hat, white short-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, dark color shoes. He was armed with a baton.

The female person of interest was wearing all black. No further description was available.

The victim was transported to a local hospital after the shooting and is listed in critical condition.
