Detroit police release video of person of interest after woman's body left in dumpster

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are asking for the public's help in locating a person of interest after a 26-year-old woman was found dead inside a dumpster on the city's east side Wednesday.

The woman's body was found inside a dumpster at Parkview Apartments in the 1600 block of Robert Bradby Drive.

According to a release, police say the woman was in contact with the male person of interest at the location her body was found. The victim and person of interest were seen together inside the apartment building's elevator.

Police say the man may have information on the woman's murder.

The person of interest is described as a black male, medium build. He was last seen wearing a dark colored sweatshirt with a hood and wheat colored boots.

Police are also looking for a dark colored vehicle in connection with the homicide.
