DETROIT (WXYZ) — Fourteen-year-old twin girls who were missing for about a month have been found safe, Detroit police said.
Police said Anieca Ogden and Aniya Ogden were last seen March 8. The twins left their home without permission. It’s unclear why they left.
Detroit Police Department Capt. Philip Rodriguez told new crews last week that the teens' father had their phones and they did not take them when they left. They also hadn't been to school.
“We just want to ultimately make sure that these young ladies are safe and they’re returned to their proper residences,” Rodriguez said.
Monday afternoon, Detroit police said Anieca and Aniya were found and have been reunited with family. Allen Park police officers found the girls Monday morning.
The Detroit Police Department is continuing to investigate their disappearance and recovery.
