DETROIT (WXYZ) — The Detroit Police Department seeks the public’s help locating a missing man.
James Haislip, 48, was last seen on May 16 at approximately 5 p.m.
He left a mental treatment facility located in the 15000 block of Gratiot on the city’s east side. As he was being transported to a different facility, he jumped out of the van.
He suffers from severe traumatic brain injury and has mental illness. He was deemed by a probate court as an incapacitated individual and has a court ordered legal guardian.
Family said he needs treatment for the diseases he has.
Haislip, a white male, has red hair and hazel eyes. He's 5-foot-11 and weighs about 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a a black baseball hat, black shirt and black ripped jeans.
