A Detroit woman has been charged with bribing a city official accused of stealing thousands of dollars in cash and other items of value.
Elisa Grubbs, 53, has been accused of meeting with a local business owner in order to accept thousands of dollars in cash, which she would later give to an unnamed city official.
The city official was not named in the criminal information and is referred to by investigators as City Official X.
The official reportedly told the business owner that he trusted Grubbs and that the business owner should give Grubbs the money.
