DETROIT (WXYZ) — A new marquee will be installed at the Majestic Theatre on Woodward Avenue in Detroit.
Installation will begin this week, with the bulk of sign sections to be in place by Thursday.
The final product will include neon, an old-fashioned manual dimensional letter reader board and will be under canopy bulb lighting.
Last year, the theatre announced a $1 million renovation with the hopes of bringing more concerts to Midtown.
The renovation will restore the outside facade and make improvements to the first floor cafe, stage and concert area.
The theatre looks to promote over 100 concerts a year.
