DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police say they arrested two men after an officer was injured in an officer-involved shooting Thursday.

The incident happened Cambridge Avenue and Birwood Street. That's in northwest Detroit, near 7 Mile and Wyoming.

Detroit Police Chief James White says officers were at the scene when an uninvolved person in a car at the scene got out of the car, pulled out a gun, and opened fire. The officers then returned fire.

Police say the injured officer was grazed by a bullet just below the vest.

One of the men arrested is a 31-year-old who was shot in the leg and head. A 21-year-old man was also arrested. Police say four guns were recovered from the area.

The investigation is ongoing.
