This Sunday is Flower Day at Eastern Market.

The annual tradition that takes place every year on the Sunday after Mother's Day, has become a time-honored tradition of Detroit's Eastern Market since it began in 1967.

The day is helped by the Metro Detroit Flower Growers Association which shares 15 acres of flowers for the region.

To grab the best choice of flowers, it's recommended that customers arrive early. Vendors begin selling at 7 a.m. on Sunday, May 20 and the event ends at 5 p.m.
