The Eastland Center mall is off the auction block Thursday.
The struggling mall has been sold to the highest bidder for $3,125,000. The winner's identity is unknown at this time.
The auction opened Tuesday afternoon starting at $500,000.
Former Macy's, Target stores, Lowe's and Home Depot properties were not included in the auction.
The City of Harper Woods has been discussing a public-private partnership for a mixed-use development which would include a city hall.
Eastland Center has been in debt since 2006 but is still open.
Editor's Note: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated that the mall closed in 2015. It has been updated to reflect that the mall is still open.
