Construction is resuming on I-696 in Oakland County this weekend, as eastbound lanes of the highway will close from Telegraph to I-75 beginning Friday night.
Starting at 9 p.m., eastbound I-696 will close from US-24 (Telegraph) to I-75 through 5 a.m. Monday.
Prep work prior to the weekend closure will also require EB I-696 to have only one lane open from Telegraph to I-75 from 9 p.m. to 5 ap.m. nightly on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
The detour for the closure will be southbound M-10 to eastbound M-8 (Davison Freeway) to northbound I-75 and back to eastbound I-696.
