WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. (WXYZ) — The West Bloomfield Clerk's Office says there has been a concerning report of an individual posing as a representative of the clerk's office is offering to return people's ballots to the clerk's office for them.
The report came from the social media platform Nextdoor.
The clerk's office said this person is not a representative of the clerk's office and that this is not a practice of the office.
Additionally, this practice is a felony; the ballot envelope states that authorized election officials, postal service employees/mail handlers or a member of the voter's household may be in possession of an absentee ballot.
