101-year-old Westland woman found safe in Canton

WESTLAND, Mich. (WXYZ) — A 101-year-old Westland woman who was reported missing by family has been found safe in Canton.

Police say Mae Willie Baker was last seen in the area of Van Born and Middlebelt around 1:30 p.m. Monday. She was found Tuesday afternoon at a Huntington Bank in Canton. No further information was immediately released on how Baker was located.

Mae was supposed to go to a friend's house on Hazelwood in Inkster but never showed up and never returned home. She has not been diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer's but has showed signs of confusion recently, according to police.
