Posted

Do you want more out of date night besides dinner and a movie? Would you like something fun to do while you grab a beer?

If you’ve answered yes, there are many places in Detroit to check out.

Ping-pong is popular for those who go to Drive at the Penobscot Building.

Diallo Smith is the co-owner of Drive Table Tennis Social Club.

“It’s a place where people just come to socialize, have some fun.”

That’s the drive behind Drive Table Tennis Social Club.

“Everybody just loves ping-pong.”

It’s just one of the many fun places Detroiters can go to for a different kind of entertainment experience.

Drive does attract those who take ping-pong seriously, but co-owner Diallo Smith says anyone will enjoy it!

“We have the casual people who want to come, maybe on a date night, or maybe with their friends on a Friday night, ‘Hey let’s go play some ping-pong or let’s go grab a drink.'”

Entertainment venues have popped up all over the city.

You can battle it out in a Nerf War at the Detroit Dart Club, that’s fun for kiddos too!

Try feather bowling at the Cadieux Cafe.

They describe it as a mix between horseshoes and Bocci.

Combine football and bowling and you’ll get fowling. Head to the Fowling Warehouse on the border of Hamtramck and Detroit.

Above that is Gamer’s Gallery for FootPool, that’s when you marry football and billiards.

“If you just read the trends, you’ll see that people are looking for more social entertainment environments.”
